PARISIAN “MAMANS” AND CHILDREN.
The following descriptive matter lefers to the fashion plate which appeared in our issue of August 30 :— The first is that of a little girl in fancy hat of brown straw, with a white galon trimming, and brown tulle raised centre. Dainty cream dust cloak over a brown dress. The lady with her (B) is dressed in a simple long grey cloak, relieved with a lining of pink silk, pink bonnet with grey feathers, and tiny velvet strings. The dress is a darker shade of grey, with a Swiss belt of black velvet. (C) represents a charming indoor costume of iose-colouied silk, diaped across the bodice and over a petticoat of pale fiink mousseline de soie in fancy pattern. I'he little one in ter arms (D) is dressed in dark blue velvet relieved with pale blue sash. The two little girls are, respectively, dressed in (E) long cloak of greyish colour, trimmed with black velvet buttons, and gathered closely at the waist, grey hat with black ostrich feathers. (F) a pretty plaid cloak opening over a dress of bright crimson, jaunty hat to match. The last sketch (G) represents a simple evening dress, pale bhiecrfipe de chine, trimmed with old-gold embroideries, and old-gold passementerie.
