A CONCERT IN THE TROPICS.
‘A concert in the Tropics’ will assuredly arouse many pleasant reminiscences in the minds of a host of ocean passengers who have themselves had a similar experience, either as one of the audience, or as a performer, or, it may well be, as both. The charms of music, great as they may be on land in the temperate zone, certainly attain theirmaximum on board an ocean-going mail-liner in the tropics—always supposing the weather to be favourable—on such an occasion as that depicted by our special artist. The picture cannot fail to excite, in some, the pleasures of memory ; in all, the pleasures of the imagination. See page 13.)
