REPORTING HIS OWN SUICIDE.

A YOUNG man (twenty-three) committed suicide in a railway carriage in the North of Ireland, and in his pockets were found two pieces of paper, on which there were written the following statements :—‘ Suicide in a railway carriage. — On Saturday evening, in the five o’clock train from Belfast, a young man committed suicide by shooting himself through the head with a revolver. The reasons for committing the act are unknown. At his own request an inquest will be held in Dublin.' In the second paper was written :— ‘ Hohl the inquest in Dublin. After it is over bury me in Dublin, and no other place will do.—-W. W. Pinkerton, Belfast, Ireland. Let information be sent as soon as possible to Oak Lodge, Cave Hill, Belfast. Bury me just as I am found, with all clothing on—exactly as they are —without boots or hat.—W. W. Pinkerton.’
