CHANCE FOR A BARGAIN.
Small Boy (rushing in) : ‘ Oh, mamma ! I know where I can buy a four-wheeled spring go-cart awful cheap. Won’t you give me some money ?’ Mamma (doubtfully): ‘ How cheap ?’ ‘ Well, I don’t know. I haven’t asked, but I think I can get it for ’most nothing, ’cause Mrs Nobbs hasn’t any’ use for it any more.’ * Mrs Nobbs ?’ ‘ Yes. Johnny Nobbs had it, you know.’ ‘ But where is Johnny ?’ ‘ Why, in ridin’ down-hill on it just now he struck a post an’ killed himself.’
