CATCHING TIMES.

Little grey mouse sits near its hole, Ami thinks not times are catching, Old black cat on a box close by, Lays there patiently watching. Smooth round stones from off the ground Our bad boy Bill is picking, Smile on his face, he has an idea, To give that cat a licking. A smell of cheese Upon the breeze, The mouse moves out to find it ; Sharp cruel claws Beneath her paws, Miss Puss steals up behind it. Close to her eye From Bill’s shanghi, The stone it strikes her whacking, And cruel cat That is so fat, Finds that times are catching. M.A. P. Masterton.
