The rector of a West of England parish had two curates one very young, the other rather ola. With the old curate the rector could not agree, and on being recently offered another living he determined to leave the parish, and take the young curate with him. Before leaving he preached Iris farewell sermon to his parishioners. lae old curate attended, and quite a sensation was created in the church when the rector took for his text, ‘ Abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder and worship.’
