THE TOP HAT.
The player'- in this game are divided into two opposing partie-. and sit in two half circles at the same distance every wav round a gentleman s top hat placed on the Hoor in the centre. Two differently coloured packs of cauls are then given, one to each party, and dealt equally out to each player. The aim is for each player to throw a card into the hat in the centre. which is not nearly so easy a thing as may be supposed, and the Hoor is soon littered with the cards which fail to go into the hat. The game is played till both pack- are exhausted : then those cards that are in the hat are counted, ami the side that has most of its own colour wins. Two players can manage this game by taking a pack each ami standing at a distance to throw in. It sounds ea-y, but it really requires some knack.
