Exhibits for Montreal Conference
During the Matrons' Conference, the visitors were able to see the various exhibits which have been prepared and collected by the Health Department to send to the International Council of Nurses' Congress, to be held at Montreal m July. These include nicely bound photograph albums containing photographs of many
of the leading hospitals of the Dominion, both general and maternity, and their smaller offshoots m country districts. There are also maps of the two islands, showing the hospital system of base and subsidiary hospitals and their locations. A large map, illustrating the maternal welfare care of the Dominion, with its
State Maternity Hospitals, its district hospitals and nurses, its training schools and the literature concerning State registration of midwives and the various regulations for training of maternity nurses and midwives, the conduct of ante-natal clinics, etc. There are dolls dressed m the uniforms of the different hospitals, very attractive looking. The Dental Division has also prepared an exhibit of great interest.
The Plunket Society has added its own exhibit, with maps snowing the stations of Plunket nurses, mothercraft homes and clinics. Also literature concerning its activities and specimens of clothing recommended for infants. The Junior Red Cross has contributed albums prepared by school girls, which are most interesting and beautifully got up. These, after exhibition, are to go to schools m Canada. See page 85
