Department of Health State Examinations

The State examination for nurses was held on December sth and 6th, 1928. One hundred and sixty-nine candidates sat. Of these 149 passed. What advice would you give as to the care and preparation of the breasts during pregnancy? MIDWIFERY NURSING. 1. Give the ■ mechanism of the second stage of labour. 2. What are the forms of sepsis that may affect a puerperal woman? Describe the treatment of mastitis. 3. How would you deal with a case of prolapse of the cord during labour until medical assistance can be obtained? 4. What does the term " rigid os " mean, and how would you diagnose such a case, and how would you deal with it until medical assistance can be obtained ? 5. What do you understand by asphyxia neonatorum? What are the different degrees of asphyxia neonatorum, and how would you treat each degree of this condition? 6.
