A pleasant gathering was held at the Ritz for lunch on September Ist, by Miss Pattrick, Director of Plunket Nurses, who had invited several guests to meet the Matrons of the Karitane Hospitals who had come to Wellington for a conference at the time of the Bi-annual Conference of the Plunket Society. The Matrons present were: Miss Vida MacLean, from Auckland, Miss Hitchcock, from Dunedin, Miss Rose, from Wanganui, Mrs. Gillespie, from Christchurch, Miss Clarke, from Wellington. Miss Hooper was also up from Dunedin. Other guests were: Miss Newman, Matron of St. Helens, Wellington, Miss Moore, Miss Maclean, Miss Mitchell, Miss Inglis, Miss Lambie, Mrs. TytheBrown. Miss Bicknell was unavoidably absent. Miss Pattrick was looking very well after her recent illness and looking forward to a trip to England and Canada next year.
