Miss Marion Hunt, trained m Wellington Hospital, has been appointed Matron of Waiuta Cottage Hospital, Reef ton. Sister Milne, Matron of the Fever Hospital, Wellington, is shortly proceeding to Karitane to take her Plunket training. Sister Macdonald, late of Wellington Hospital, is going to Karitane for the Plunket training. Nurse Houghton, late of Wellington Hospital, has temporarily given up her professional work to take charge of her late sister's family. Sister Gladys Watt has resigned from the Pukeora staff, and has been appointed District Nurse at Porangahau. Sister d'Emden has been on annual leave from Pukeora, staying m Wellington.
Miss M. Saunders has been appointed to the massage staff of the Wellington Hospital. Senior Nurse Hennessey has been promoted to the rank of Sister at the Wellington Hospital. Nurse Hubberd has been appointed Sister at the Wellington Hospital. Nurses Glanville and McDougall, of Wellington Hospital, have resigned. Miss Hood, of Christchurch, is visiting the North Island. Miss Olive Pearce is taking charge of the Nurses' Club m her absence. Miss Esther Gates has been elected Hon. Secretary of the Ashburton Branch of the Plunket Society, and will be visiting Wellington m July to attend the Conference of the Society. In connection with Miss Gates' generous present of the complete file of "Kai Tiaki" to the International Headquarters at Geneva, she has heard from Miss Reimann that she will receive complimentary copies of the T.C.N. for the next four years. Sister Catherine Gibbon has joined the staff of Apia Hospital, Samoa, m place of Sister Macfarlane, who is returning to New Zealand. The friends of Miss Mary Bagley, Matron of St. Helen's, Wanganui, will be sorry to learn that she is ill and has been admitted to the Wanganui Hospital. Miss Janet Moore, after relieving, during Miss Willis' absence, at the Head Office of the Nursing Division, went to Queen Mary Hospital, Hanmer, to give a course of lectures to the Sisters. She then went on to Dunedin Hospital to deliver a course there and to advise generally regarding training. Miss Rose Macdonald, Matron of the Napier Hospital, has been granted eight months' leave of absence and is going to India to visit her sister. Miss Macdonald is President for this year of the N.Z.T.N.A., the annual meeting of which is to take place m Napier m October. Sister Katie Clarke and Sister Lily Burke left for Egypt m June. Sister Burke is going to join the staff of the Anglo-Swiss Hospital m Cairo, and Sister Clarke to do private nursing or possibly also take a position.
