All questions must be attempted. Candidates should answer briefly and concisely only what is asked. 1. Describe the nursing treatment of a severe case of aHniiuimiria of pregnancy. 2. Define placenta pnevia. What are the midwife's responsibilities m regard to such a case occurring m her practice? Describe the treatment of the collapse symptoms following a severe haemorrhage. 3. Describe the management of a twin-delivery. 4. Give a detailed description of the management of the third stage of labour. Refer especially to the steps you would take to- prevent the main complications of this stage. 5. Outline the management of an eighth-month premature baby weighing 4 lb. 6. Summarize the methods adopted — during pregnancy, during labour, and during the puerperium— to prevent the occurrence of puerperal sepsis.
