Marriages and Engagements

On August 14th at Gisborne a quiet wedding was celebrated, the bride being Miss Kate McKenzie, who was until lately on the Wellington Hospital Nursing Staff. The bridegroom was Dr. Norman Slater, M.8., Ch.B.

The bride wore a charming dress of ivory georgette and silver. The bridesmaids were Miss Edith Gambrill and Miss Joan McKenzie.

Dr. and Mrs. Slater have now settled down to life at Otaki where the Doctoris m practice.

Miss Margaret Shuker, late N.Z.A.N.S. was recently married to Mr. Reddington.

The engagement is announced of Miss Maud Montgomery, of Cairnhill Private Hospital, Auckland, to Mr. S. T. Glacken of Wellington.

Sister Rennell, late of Hobson Street Hospital, was married to Mr. Norman Wilson recently and is now living' m Highland Park, Wellington.

Sister Hazel Williams, so long with Miss Mac Lean and Miss Wilson, at Willis Street Hospital, was recently married to Mr. Logic of Wanganui. Miss Williams was trained at Picton Hospital and St. Helens, Wellington.

Sister Grant of Hobson Street Hospital has left to be married m March to Mr. Lovel of New Plymouth.

The engagement is announced of Sister Jeannette Waugh, trained at Invercargill Hospital and St. Helens, Invercargill, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Waugh, of Sydney and Invercargill, to Austin John, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hall, Swanbrook, Jaerilla, N.S.W-

The engagement is announced of Nurse M. Hedley, of Southland Hospital, to Mr. A. Smythe of Invercargill.

The engagement of Miss Flora Smith, daughter of the late James and Mrs. Smith of Paterangi, Te Awamutu, Waikato, to Mr. George Sadd of Konini Rd., Hataitai, Wellington, has just been announced and the marriage will take place early m March.

The engagement is announced of Miss E. Fraser, Patea Hospital (trained at Timaru), to Mr. W. Paterson of Patea.

Miss Florence Stephenson, who trained at New Plymouth Hospital, Avas recently married to Mr. Mark James of Inglewood.

Nurse Jean Bryce, trained at Napier Hospital, is now Mrs. Skillon. Her address is Rockville, Collingwood.

Miss Doris Brown, trained at Nelson Hospital, was married m October to Mr. Charlie Nelson. Their home is at Murchison.

Miss F. M. Brewster, trained Southland Hospital and Methven Maternity Hospital, is now Mrs. Morgan. Her home is at Methven.

Miss Godiva Huggam, Picton Hospital trained, is now Mrs. Whiteside and is living at Waimea, Nelson.
