CHRISTMAS AT NELSON HOSPITAL.
I am glad to tell you we all had a very happy Christmas-time. AVe had a Christ-mas-tree in the women's ward, which became the Mecca of children and patients from all parts of the hospital. Carols were sung at 9.30 a.m., followed by a cheering 1 address fmm Bishop Saddlier. Father Christmas arrived at 10.30, by car! (Dr. Washbourne) and proceeded to dispense li treasures" from his capacious sack, to the fun and general merriment of everyone. Soon a regular toysymphony issued from the children's quarter. Sisters and staff had decorated the wards and corridors most charmingly. Tea was served in the afternoon to patients and visitors, each patient being allowed one relative or friend.
