Wellington Nurses' Club
On Tuesday evening, 28th September, at the Nurses 7 Club, Kensington Street, Wellington, Dr. Giesen gave a most interesting and instructive lecture on "The Uses of Animal Substance m Food and Medicine, ' ' which was thoroughly enjoyed by the nurses. This lecture completed a series of lectures given by six well-known Wellington doctors at the Nurses' Club during the winter months, which were all greatly appreciated by the
nurses. The lectures were as follow : — March 30, "Art of Healing," Dr. Elliott; May 25, "Mesopotamia" (medical adventures among the Arabs on the Euphrates), Dr. Begg; June 29, "Some Aspects of the Cancer Problem/ Dr. Herbert; July 27, "Surgery of the Chest," Dr. Stout; August 31, "The Human Factor," Dr. Henry; September 28, "Uses of Animal Substance m Food and Medicine," Dr. Oiesen.
