The Nurses' Protection and Savings Bank Fund
The trustees especially desire to direct the attention of members of the nursing profession to the many advantages conferred by the Nurses' Protection and Savings Bank Fund. During the comparatively short period of its establishment quite a large amount has been paid to members incapacitated from duty by the misfortunes of sickness or accident. This financial relief will be more adequately appreciated when it is remembered that no deduction whatever is made from the savings bank portion of the fund for sickness, and accidents benefits paid. The trustees feel that the following list of most recent claims paid will be of interest to all members of the nursing profession: — 1.M., Christchurch, whitlow, £2 13s Id; E.M.S., Pakaraka, appendicitis, £8 8s; C.C., Wellington, diphtheria, £3 3s; A.D., Timaru, diphtheria, £6 12s ; T.G.8., Wellington, typhoid, £10 9s Id; R.T.C., fJisbome, run over by a motor car, £2 8s; C.E.J., Marton, pneumonia and pleurisy. £9 5s 2d: G.F., Wellington, typhoid. £10 19s sd; M.G., Hamilton, typhoid, £24 13s Sd; C.W., Wellington, measles, £2 8s; C.G.L., Oreymouth, scarlet fever, £3 12s ; (t,E.W., Blenheim, pleurisy, £1 16s ;
