TWO INTERESTING BULLETINS
The N.Z. Forest Service has recently . published The Sika Deer in New Zealand, by D. G. Kiddie, and Introduction and Liberation of the Opossum into _ New Zealand, by L. T. Pracy. They are obtainable free from the Forest Service. Since its introduction into the central North Island in 1905 the sika deer has become firmly established. It can thrive where the red deer will starve. Surprising facts about the opossum are that it was first introduced about 1840. Almost 400 points of liberation are known. No wonder it is widespread!
