WAIKAREMOANA CAMP, 1961

Commences 7.30 pm on Friday, 20 January, 1961; concludes evening of Thursday the 26th. Accommodation consists of: (a) Cabins with fireplaces, electric light, and points. (b) Huts with electricity but no fireplace. (c) About twenty beds at Lake House, Tourist Department hostel, some for full time, others for only five days. Full board. (d) Plenty of room for tents and caravans at jetty camping ground. There are a community hall with electric cookers and other amenities, a camp store, a daily bus to Wairoa, and a post office at Lake House. Full details of the camp, accommodation charges, and camp fee may be obtained by writing to the organiser, Mr. B. Teague, Mahia Avenue, Wairoa, for the camp circular.
