An inquest was held at Timaru, on the Bth July, 1874, before B. Woollcombe, Esq., Coroner, upon the body of Eliza Catterick, alias Shipley, aged 36 years, who. died on board the the s.s. Beautiful Star, in Timaru roadstead during the night of the 7th July. Verdict— 4 Died of an epileptic fit, caused by excessive drinking.”
