Beverting to Criminal Offence, dated Christchurch, 16th April, _ 1873, the saddle, breeching, and reins therein described, were found planted in a gorse fence opposite the schoolroom at the Seven-mile Peg, North Bead, by a man named Melbourne; the collar, hames, and traces were found in the adjacent ditch by Detective-Sergeant least, and were nearly rotten from submersion in the water. The harness has been returned to Mr. Wild, the owner.
