Anxious inquiry is being made for the whereabouts of George Eoster, whose friends at Nuneaton, near Birmingham, England, last heard from him under date Coal Creek, Cobden, Nelson Province, sth November, 1872. Description : English, 25 years, sft. fair complexion, hair, and whiskers, small goatee on chin, long features, gray eyes, about 9| stone weight, a farmer by profession, generally dresses in darktweed suit and lace-up boots—is said to have been working with a reaping machine during this harvest in the Otago Province. Information to be sent to Commissioner of Police, Christchurch.
