Stolen.

Stolen, during the night of the 17th ultimo, from a paddock in Stanmore Hoad, a canvas horse-cover, lined with black and red drugget, the property of W. D. Carruthers.

Stolen, from an outhouse on the premises of Samuel Armitage, on the 19th ultimo, a canvas carpet-bag, containing a light blue flannel coat, a light tweed coat, a number of towels, three or four dark colour vests, one pair trousers (light colour), one ditto with stripe down the leg, women’s underclothing (marked M. A.), one tablecloth with a patch on the corner. On the outside of the bag is painted the words “ Wood, Esq.”

Stolen, from the barque Coronilla, lying in Port Lyttelton, an iron keg, containing 1 cwt. of pine coloured paint, with the words “ pine colour ” painted on the lid, in pink. It is supposed that some of the watermen plying to the ship have stolen it.

Two stacks of wheat, the property of Prank O’Brien, of Waimate, were, on the afternoon of the 12th July last, maliciously set on fire, and were destroyed. Police Gazette. —Vol. IX., No. 10.
