The same offender is charged, on warrant, with embezzlement at Waitahuna; and a third warrant has been issued against him for horse-stealing at Oamaru. He has been traced as far as the Hinds river, Canterbury, and is supposed to be making for the West Coast.

An indecent assault was committed, on the 3rd ult., at Christchurch, on a young child named Mary Anne Dunn, by a man whose name is not known. The offender is described as about sft. Gin. high, stout build, dark brown hair, brown beard, no moustache, dressed in a light coat with blue stripe, grey trousers and cap, with crown drawn over and hooked to peak.
