Missing Friends.
(Extract from Otago Police Gazette, No. 10, page 52, 1867. Infoemation is requested respecting James Straitou, aged about 30 years and of dark complexion. No further description given. Arrived in Victoria from Glasgow four or five years ago, and held several situations in Ballarat, but ultimately came to New Zealand. When last heard of in October, 1864, he was in the Dunstan district, Otago.
£2O Bewaed.— lnformation is sought respecting John Byan, a native of Dumbana, County Tipperary Ireland, aged 38, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build slightly pockmarked, and of sandy complexion. He left Melbourne for New Zealand in 1862, and was last heard of in 1863. He was then at the Molyneux diggings, and is supposed to have left there for the West Coast Diggings in 1863. A reward of £2O is offered tor reliable information about him.
Enquieies are requested respecting Edwin Perret, who left Sandhurst five years ago for Dunedin, New Zealand. On his arrival he was employed by Muges, a butcher, and left shortly afterwards for the Grey Biver, from whence he intended to proceed to the Hau Hau Diggings. Description, about 23 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high ; butcher by trade.
