Between noon of the 30th and noon of the 31st ult.> a store-room at "White’s farm, Rangiora, was entered and four sides of bacon, with the pork left in, hams cut out, averaging 551 b weight, stolen. No suspicion attached to any person in particular. Identifiable.

Stolen, during the afternoon of the 30th ult., from the door of Gavin’s shop, Colombo-street, about a dozen pairs moleskin trousers, some with fly fronts and some with flaps ; machine made ; with pink top lining, and coarse kind of tape inside all the seams ; tickets with the following letters and figures on each pair:—“ No. 979, z z, 7 S | D, tape-seamed. Order 8 ” on each pair.

Stolen, from the residence of Mr. Walton, Springfield road, Christchurch, about the beginning of March, one large brown colored imitation sealskin cloak, one black merino jacket, one silk quilted petticoat, much worn, and one brown petticoat; the property of Rose Kelso. All identifiable.

Stolen, during the evening of the 2nd instant, from a tent in the Big Paddock, Kanieri, during the absence of the owner, Joseph Shirley, a double barrelled gun, makers’ name, Massey and Draylin, stamped on both barrels ; the stock has been broken, and is tied wdth small cord, and three small brass pins driven in the stock to keep the splinter down.

Stolen, during the evening of the 3rd inst. from the shop of Alfred Rowbottom, High street, Christchurch, seven meerschaum pipes, not identifiable. Two boys, named Patrick and Martin Heenan, are suspected, they having been seen loitering about the shop door for a considerable time. Patrick is about seven years old, and Martin about seven years ; both of a dirty, ragged, and miserable appearance. Still in Christchurch.

Stolen, during the afternoon of the 9th inst., from Purcell and Skogland, drapers, Richmond Quay, Greymouth, ten yards of a female’s dress, blue and brown, striped pattern ; eight yards of female’s dress, green and yellow, striped pattern ; value £2 14s. A Mrs. Taylor suspected : native of England, 26 to 30 years of age, 4 feet 9 inches high : fair hair and complexion.

Stolen, during the night of the 12th inst., a pair of moleskin trousers, nearly new, and an inside flannel singlet, the property cf Thomas Dennison, Commercial Hotel, Timaru: a man named James, a Sydney native, is suspected ; about 35 years of age, 5 leet 9 or 10 inches high, stout build.; fair complexion, fair hair, sandy beard, worn in American style ;

wore a dark coat, light colored trousers, and old wideawake hat. Trousers and singlet identifiable.

Stolen, during the night of the sth inst., from Martin’s store, Temuka, a colonial made bullock-hide riding saddle, nearly new ; the property of Arthur J enkins.

Stolen, during the afternoon of the 11th inst., from the bar of the White Horse Hotel, Christchurch, a swag, containing one pair white blankets, one pair cotton cord trousers, one pair duck trousers, one pair light tweed trousers, one light tweed vest, one blue serge shirt, two white flannel undershirts, one black deerstalker hat, one grey Crimean shirt, and one pair elastic-sided boots ; the property of Thomas Slocum, Lyttelton. All identifiable.

Stolen, between 8 and 11 o’clock p.m., from on board the schooner “ Volunteer,” while lying in Dampiers Bay, Lyttelton, an open faced silver lever watch, capped and jewelled in eight holes, number unknown, Roskell, Liverpool, maker; the glass on face very much scratched ; silver chain, curb pattern, broken near the swivel, and mended with a brass pin ; the property of George Simmons, Oxford street, Lyttelton. No person in particular suspected.

Stolen, on the 9th inst. about 8 p.m., a second-hand saddle, bridle, and plain snaflle bit, with grey mare, from Wheatsheaf Inn, Shand road ; the property of Mr. Bellamy. (See present list of horses and cattle reported as stolen.)
