A Warrant has been issued by the Greymouth Bench for the apprehension of Nicholas Akmoretch, charged with larceny as a Bailee. He is an Italian, sometimes passes himself for a Greek; 5 feet 7 inches high, 25 years old, clean shaved, medium build, pale complexion, dark hair and eyes, high cheek bones, dressed in knitted worsted waistcoast, grey tweed vest ana trousers and brown felt hat. Is supposed to have gone to Hokitika.

A Warrant has been issued by the Christchurch bench for the apprehension of William Kennedy, charged with refusing to maintain his illegitimate child, of whom Mary Ann Beatty, is the mother. He is an Irishman, 26 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, medium build, thin face, fair complexion, long straight nose, light straight hair of sickly appearance, dressed in dark coat light coloured trousers, vest, and round hat; was formerly employed as groom and gardener by Mr. Jebson, of Racecourse Hill, audit is probable he will endeavour to obtain similar employment in some part of the province.

A Warrant has been issued by the Greymouth Bench for the apprehension of J. Cowens Brown storekeeper, Teremakau, charged with absconding with money, the property of the Union Bank. He is aged 28 or 30 years, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, reddish hair on chin, no whiskers or moustache, wore when last seen dark coat and vest, grey cord breeches and boots and drab felt hat; supposed to have contraction in muscles of right arm, causing same to move stiffly; crossed the Teremakau on the night of the Bth instant, towards Hokitika, and will most probably be on horseback.
