Apprehensions.
Jon n' Delany, arrested on warrant by the Timaru Police for horse stealing, was discharged with a caution.
J. W. Siielland, James Henry, John McLelland, and John Lowth, deserters from the ship “Ivanhoe” have been arrested by the Timaru Police, and each sentenced to four months’ imprisonment.
Charles Terry and James Leonard, were rested by the Timaru Police, for stealing a bottle of brandy from the Club Hotel, and were each sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, and to fourteen days’ additional for resisting the Police.
Thomas Doran, for obtaining money by false pretences at Timaru, has been arrested by the Police at Nelson, and committed for trial by the Bench at Timaru.
Valentine Maseeield, and Matthew M. Jones, for shooting a bullock, the property of Benjamin Shadbolt, have been arrested by the Akaroa Police, and committed for trial.
Stephen Poyntz, arrested by the Timaru Police for obtaining goods by false pretences, has been remanded for the production of a witness from Marlborough.
Andrew McDonough, for creating a disturbance in the public streets, and assaulting the Police, has been sentenced by the Christchurch Bench, to one month’s imprisonment.
Mary Martin has been arrested by the Timaru Police, for stealing timber from an unfinished building, and sentenced to forty-eight hours’ imprisonment.
John Wilson, arrested for forgery, by the Christchurch Police, has been committed for trial.
Thomas Sayers, alias “ Yankee Tom,” arrested by the Bangiora Police on a warrant, charged with horse stealing, has been discharged by the Timaru Bench.

Charles Oswald for stealing an oar, the property of J. Chapman, has been arrested by the Lyttelton Police, and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment
