A Warrant has been issued by the Christchurch Bench, for the arrest of John Lunny, for deserting the hired service of his Honor the Superintendent, as a constable of the Armed Police Force, Canterbury. * Lunny is 6 feet 1 inch in height, hazel eyes, black hair, sallow complexion, an Irishman, served as a constable in the Ovens District, Victoria, previous to his arrival in Canterbury. Is supposed to have gone to the Pelorus Gold Eields.

A Warrant has been issued by the Timaru Bench, for the arrest of Thomas Saver, alias “ Yankey Tom,

for stealing a bay horse branded a heart on near shoulder, about 16* hands high, near hind leg grizzled as if marked by a tether rope, the property ot John Manchester. The offender is anAmencan, 33 years oi age, 5 feet 10 inches high, light brown hair, fair complexion, large fair moustache and whiskers, sharp features, Eoman nose, small eyes, squints slightly, about 13 stone weight, usually wears a Yankee ligh widewake hat, dark tweed trousers worn inside Wellington boots, dark tweed coat, black cloth waiscoat, a sawyer, supposed to have gone to the Pelorus dole Fields. Mr. Manchester offers £3 reward tor the arrest and conviction of the offender.

A Warrant has been issued by the Timaru Bench, for the arrest of George Danvers, for obtaining goods from Mr. Waldon, accommodation house keeper, Opawa Eiver, by false pretences. Description : supposed to be English, 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, light brown hair, small light whiskers and moustache, about 10 stone weight, long arms, medium build, very communicative, and fond of talking about two or three thousand pounds’ worth of property being left to him in England. It has been ascertained that he left Timaru by the City of Dunedin steamer, for Dunedin, where it is supposed he has a brother residing.

The offender who stole the clothing from _ the Ferry house, Ashley Bank, is supposed to be identical with Louis Baker, who was enlisted for the Napier Volunteers, on the 9th instant, upon which

date Captain Corfield took him from Lyttelton, at the time he was wearing some of the stolen property.

Supposeh to have been stolen from the premises of Charles Worsley, Papanui Boad, on the night of the 6th instant, two mares— lst a black mare, branded like A. C. on near shoulder, mark of a recent bite under saddle near side, in rather low condition, puffed in legs, short heavy switch tail. 2nd, a bay mare, near hind fetlock white, blaze down face, black points, no brands, thoroughbred, one had on a hempen halter, and the other a leather head collar, both animals were tied up close to complainant’s house. It is believed they have been taken overland to the Pelorus Gold Fields. 10th May, 1864.
