STOCK MARKET
VALUES AT MORRINSVILLE A full yarding of all classes of fat sheep was penned at Morrinsville yesterday Competition was not so keen and prices were slightly easier than those ruling last week. Store hoggets were penned in good numbers. Competition was good for wethers and values were firmer, while ewe hoggets were not so keenly sought after and prices remained unchanged. A medium offering of beef met a keen demand and good values were maintained. A small yarding of boner cows sold at current rates. There was a steady demand for a medium entry of empty Jersey heifers at firm values. The advertised entry of store cattle attracted a good bench of buyers. The cattle came forward in good order and condition, but owing to the late season values were slightly easier, although practically a total clearance was effected. A smaller entry of dairy cows and heifers was penned. The quality was a good deal below recent standards and as a result prices were easier. A medium yarding of fat pigs and a full entry of store and weaner pigs came forward. Competition for all classes was very keen, prices remaining firm on last week's quotations.
