DELIVERY OF GOODS WELLINGTON, Friday Now that the war has ended, a question in which much interest will be taken by housewives all over New Zealand and by others who have had to carry home heavy loads of household goods, particularly meat and bread, is when it will be possible to re-instate deliveries. They will be pleased to know that it is one of the subjects receiving early official consideration. In reply to an inquiry today, the Minister of Transport, the Hon. J. O’Brien, wfts brief and to the point. “Zoning and other transport controls are being examined,” he said, “with a view to relieving as many restrictions as possible having regard of petrol and rubber supplies.” The Minister also indicated that when an examination was completed a statement would be made.
