Mrs P. C. Skinner, Wellington, is a visitor to Hamilton. Mrs W. L. Sheppard, Wanganui, is visiting Hamilton. Mrs Wilfred Cubis, Cambridge, is spending a week at “Denby’s,” Rotorua. Mrs F. A. Lamb, Hamilton, has been spending a few days in Auckland. Research in Nylon Stockings News that will be welcome to all women is that a new stocking nylon is in the experimental stages in the TJ.S.A. that will make stockings last f£v years. Dr. George Harrison, who is head of the physics department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said that chemists would soon produce a new grouping of atoms into a super-nylon molecule, making the stockings almost impervious to wear.
