CLASH AT NAVAL~~BARRACKB LONDON, Aug. 16 Three naval ratings were bayoneted and 11 others injured by batons tonight in a clash with armed guards at the Devonport naval barracks. After the beer had run out at the canteen 2130 men attempted a raid on the locked rum store. They smashed the windows but were unable to enter. They proceeded to the detention block and attempted to release the prisoners. A fight with the guards followed, with an officer unsuccessfully attempting to intervene. Shouting and booing continued until 11 p.m., when the men quietened down and returned .to their quarters. TOKYO ANNOUNCEMENT MANILA, Aug. 16 Tokyo radio announced that the members of the Imperial family going to China and Manchuria to ensure surrender would leave Tokyo by plane tomorrow morning. The party for the South Pacific would leave on Saturday.
