School Holidays Today was originally intended to mark the end of the second term for primary and secondary schools but when the news of peace was received on Wednesday they were immediately closed and it was not thought desirable to reopen today. The primary schools’ vacation is of a fortnight’s duration and that of the secondary schools one week longer.
