EARLY MORNING FIRE
- HOUSE SERIOUSLY DAMAGED Fire seriously damaged the residence of Mr S. J. Tasker, 220 Grey Street, Claudelands, at 1.30 a.m. today. The brigade was able to confine the fire to the rear of the building but some damage was caused throughout by smoke. The washhouse, where the fire started, was destroyed and considerable damage was done to the whole of the back of the house. A young woman staying in the house was a heavy loser. She is to be married next Saturday and her trousseau, including the wedding dress, was destroyed.
