DISTRICT INVESTMENTS £418,459 TOTAL RECEIPTS The sum of £418,459, representing 31 per cent of the objective, had been subscribed to the Victory War Loan in the Waikato-King Country district at the end of the fiist two days. A substantial investment was made by an elderly man who approached the loan headquarters with a tin containing over £3OO in notes. The whole amount was invested in loan stock.
