ANDAMAN ISLANDS ACTION (Received March 23, 1 p.m.) ' NEW YORK, March 22 A shelling duel between three British destroyers and Japanese shore batteries off the southern Andaman Islands on Monday resulted in a destroyer being sunk and two heavily damaged, says an Imperial Japanese communique.
