ALLEGATIONS IN AUSTRALIA “REBELLION THE NEXT STEP” (Received Oct. 30. 1 pun.) SYDNEY, Oct. 30 Australia's industrial affair* were in an extremely grave position, mainly because of the powerful injfluence of the Communist Party, declared the general secretary of the National Union of Railwayman, Mr W. Fletcher, speaking at the union** annual meeting. “When the Commonwealth Government legalised that anarchistic party the disintegration of Auatralian democracy immediately began,” said Mr Fletcher. “By means of small, petty, useless strikes, that could not and were never intended to assist-the workers in any way, our Australian fifth columnists keep their machinery in order, so that when the zero hour signal is given our democracy will disappear and the Communist ‘new order* will be ushered in. “From my own experience and inquiry in four States I can say with certainty that an open rebellion is the next step by these enemies of Australia.” , The union will ask Mr Curtin to have investigations made into Mr Fletcher’s allegations.
