WEDDING

WINTER—WORKER The wedding was solemnised at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Hamilton, on Saturday afternoon of Una, only daughter of Mr and Mrs C. N. Worker, of “Lyndenvale,” Fairfield, and Lieutenant Arthur Winter (on furlough), only son of Mrs A. M. Winter and the late Mr F. C. Winter, of Hamilton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. H. Olds and the organist was Mr H. G. Cook. The church had been attractively decorated with arum lilies and spring flowers.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory French cut on classical lines, with slim-fitting square neck, long train and close-fitting sleeves. The veil was hand-embroidered in conventional style* being the gift of the grandmother of the bridegroom, who wore it at her own wedding nearly 70 years ago. The bride’s headdress was a circlet of cream roses and lily-of-the-valley, and she carried a sheaf of cream roses, maidenhair fern and lily-of-the-valley. The bride was attended by Miss Betty Davy, who wore a frock of pastel blue cloque, with pink panel, high neckline and very full gored skirt. She wore a Juliet cap of pink roses, with lily-of-the-valley, and carried a sheaf of pink roses, lily-of-the-valley, and maidenhair fern. The best man was Lieutenant Ross Collins and the ushers at the church were Mr Frank Pinfold and Mr William Bowick. At the reception held at “Lyndenvale” the mother of the bride received her guests wearing a frock of powder blue crepe georgette, with smart navy hat with blue feather swathe to tone, and navy accessories. She wore a corsage' of roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore a frock of forest green suede crepe, a emart hat of tan cellophane straw and accessories to tone. Her corsage was of autumn-tinted roses. The bride travelled wearing a tailored suit of English tweedy with cherry blouse and hat to tone, and nigger brown accessories. Lieutenant and Mrs Winter % will make their home in Hamilton.
