Grand Ball
The grand ball to be held in tne Frankton Town Hall next Thursday night is “The talk of the town.” The fine gesture of two prominent business firms in donating £2O in Victory Bonds to be given, as presents, to the four winners of the two Monte Carlo waltzes is creating record ticket sales and intending patrons should purchase their tickets to avoid disappointment. Cinderella’s two ugly sisters will keep patrons in a merry mood and a beautiful brand new pair of silver evening shoes will be presented to Cinderella when discovered amongst the dancers. The dance programme will include modern and old time dancing and supper and refreshments will be obtainable at the ball. The ret proceeds are to be invested in the Victory Loan. The simple answer to the problem of what to wear on those many occasions when semi-formals are the order of the day will be found in Hooker and Kingston’s show room.
