Censorship Resolutions

With reference to the resolutions on censorship unanimously adopted by the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association, Mr M. H. Oram (Opposition— Manawatu) in notice of a question to the Prime Minister, in the House of Representatives yesterday, asked if immediate steps would be taken to see that the regulations were amended along the lines of the censorship code agreed upon by the Government and newspapers of Australia. If the Prime Minister were not prepared to do this would he indicate the reasons why.

Mr A. O. Heaney, secretary of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, has returned from Australia, where he investigated the possibilities of increased trade between New Zealand and the Commonwealth after rhe war.
