ALL SECTIONS TO MEET (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON. Wednesday An important meeting of all sections of primary producers is understood to be scheduled tc take place in Wellington toward the end of the month. The purpose is to consider a plan for a united oiganisation. While details as the proposals are yet undisclosed, it is understood that the proposed nst : or.ai body will be along the lines of the National Farmers’ Union of Great Britain, which is recognised as the most successful primary producers’ combined organisation in the British Empire. Canada Lifts Rationing: Canadian consumers may now buy unlimited quantities of tea and coffee, instead of the former ration of loz. of tea and 4oz. of coffee per person weekly, says the Canadian Press. Sugar rationing remains unchanged at Boz. a week. Butter rationing, introduced in December, 1942, has varied between one-third and one-quarter of a pound per person weekly, depending on available supplies. Meat rationing was lifted last March when stocks increased sharply in spite of shipments overseas. Poultry was never rationed. Cheese is not rationed, but was scarce for a short period.
