BUILDING RESTRICTIONS
QUESTION OF FLOOR SPACE
WELLINGTON, Thursday In reply to a question in-the House of Representatives by Mr F. Findlay (Opposition—Hamilton), who had asked that the restrictions on floor space in private houses should be lifted, the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, said it was the intention of the Government to remove the building restrictions as soon as the manpower and materials supply situation permitted. Mr Findlay had stated that many persons would not build under the existing restrictions as they did not enable them to plan for future family needs.
