We stated that our object was the study and practice of the art of drama which is real and sincere in its presentation of life. We stated also that we are now able to plan an intensive programme for the future, and that we required many more members. Especially do we need lighting technicians, and those able to design or build scenery. We encourage the writing of plays amongst our own members. If you are interested in this side of the theatre, you have the opportunity to exchange views with others similar,ly interested. We mentioned a non-active form of membership. There are many people who are keenly interested in drama, but who are unable or do not wish to take any active part. If they desire to support a society that can provide the plays they want to see, a special non-active form of membership is open to them. The subscription is 7s 6d per annum for this class, and such members are entitled to preferential booking and other rights at productions of the Theatre. You are invited to attend our next production. Inquiries as to membership can be made from Mr J. H. McKenzie, President, Phone 2484, or Mr H. B. Stretton, Secretary, Phone 2112. 848 ■VOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALLING NOMINATIONS For FRUIT MARKETING COUNCIL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in pursuance of Fruit Marketing Council Rules that an election of members for the Fruit Marketing Council will be held on October 31st, 1944.
