UNREST IN PALESTINE

SHOTS FIRED AT POLICEMEN

(Received April 11, 11a.m.) LONDON, April 10

Three fired on two British constables who were patrolling in front of a British police billet in Tel'-Aviv, says Reuter’s Jerusalem correspondent. The policemen were not seriously wounded. A bullet grazed a Jewish constable nearby. While the shots were being fired an explosion was heard and afterwards fragments resembling parts of a grenade were found. A gunman fired three shots at the deputy-superintendent of police, Mr G. P. Ford, outside the police station in the centre of the city. Mr Ford was not hurt.
