DEFENCE OF RIVIERA
GERMANS EMPLOY FRENCH LONDON. Jan. 13 Thousands of conscripted French labourers are working day and night under German direction to strengthen the defences along the French Riviera and the whole coastline from Marseilles through Toulon, .Nice and Cannes to Mentone, says the Daily Mail’s StoekhoJm correspondent. German guns are placed at 50yard intervals along the famous Promenade des Anglais at Nice.
