HEALTH STAMP SALES

RECORD TOTAL ACHIEVED SPECIAL DRIVES SUCCEED The sale of health stamps in the Hamilton district during the last quarter of 1943 proved extremely gratifying to post office officials. The total for the three months, £2159, by ‘fair eclipses the totals in apy previous campaign in the town. The special drive in which sales were promoted by the efforts of postwomen and through the canvassing of the business areas of Hamilton, Frankton and Hamilton East by an official resulted in £677 worth of stamps being sold in December alone. It was considered likely at one time that the canvassing of the Frankton and Hamilton East areas would have to be defened until this month, but it was found possible to accomplish it before the end of December. Sales in country centres last month totalled £349, making the district’s total £IOO6. This exceeded by a good margin the figures for October and November, which were £790 and £363 respectively. The special appeal is now being extended to rural deliveries and sub-offices in the district. *
