PILOT-OFFICER A. F. LISSETTE Reported as missing, believed killed, on active service, Pilot-Officer Allan Fisher Lissette is the son of Mr and Mrs C. Lissette, of McFarlane Street, Hamilton East. He was born at Morrinsville 24 years ago and was educated at the Hillcrest and Hamilton Technical High schools. A fine all-round sportsman, he captained the first eleven and the first fifteen while at school. A promising cricketer, he played for the Hamilton cricket club, and he was a member of the Old Boys’ Rugby Football Club. Other sports in which he was interested were tennis and badminton. > At the time of his enlistment in the Royal New Zealand Air Force Pilot-Officer Lissette was employed by Messrs W. and R. Fletcher, Limited. He gained his wings in New Zealand and left for England in February, 1942. During the past 12 months he had done much flying and recent advice indicated that he had been promoted to the rank of flyingofficer.
