TRANSFER TO ITALY
AMERICAN HEAVY BOMBERS (Received Jan. 13. 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 12 The Cairo radio s.tated that the whole of the United States Fifteenth Air Force —a heavy bomber group in the Mediterranean —has been transferred from North Africa to Italian bases. The move was completed without missing a single day’s operations. It brings the bombers 600 miles nearer the enemy.
