ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED (Received Sept. 29, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 28 Wing-Commander W. V. C. Compton, of Mission Bay, shot down another Focke-Wulf on September 23 during an all-day offensive over Northern France. It raised his score to 15£. Flight-Lieutenant Gray Stenborg, of Auckland, also got one, making his 14th. Previously he had had a narrow escape when a German was on his tail, but the British pilot yelled a warning through the radiophone and shot down the German. Then Flight-Lieutenant Stenborg got a German plane in a dogfight.
