NATIONAL SAVINGS
NINE TOWNS REACH QUOTA Last week the National Savings campaign in the Hamilton postal district saw nine towns reach their weekly quotas. The places were Hamilton, Huntly, Mangapehi, Matamata, Ohaupo, Ongarue, Raglan, Waharoa and Walton, The total receipts in the district were £2072, which is just over half of the weekly quota of £5043. In Hamilton the receipts were £1277, which was £B3 short of the quota of £1360, but the surplus of receipts in the previous week, when £2184 was raised—£7so in excess of the quota—was carried forward to last week.
